- *Disclaimer* Before you read any further, I need to make it clear that this post is not intended to market or promote Ugg Boots in any way shape or form.
One of my essentials for this Fall/Winter season are Work Boots. I rarely see males on the streets of Toronto wearing Work Boots, unless they are on the construction site. A lot of times when guys think about shoes I think they separate them into two categories: (i) sneakers and (ii) dress shoes. Don’t get me wrong, I love my sneakers and dress shoes, but it’s about time we stopped overlooking boots as a staple for fall and winter.
If you’re looking for a pair of Work Boots I would recommend buying a pair that follows a classic silhouette. A classic looking boot makes the boot look timeless and you don’t have to buy a new pair every year.
Over the past few years I’ve seen a lot higher end brands are coming out with Work Boots. I’m not a big supporter of these, as I think they are more concerned with trying to place their logo on the boot rather than making a quality product. One line of boots I would recommend though is Red Wings . They only specialize in boots and all of their boots are still hand crafted.
For those who are hesitant about buying a pair of boots because you are concerned about looking like a construction worker, try a pair of boots with a white sole. The white sole gives the boot a modern and sophisticated look that will allow you to pair the boot with most of your wardrobe.
I purposely wore more of a “dressed up” look with my Red Wings boots to show that you don’t have to wear only casual clothing with Work Boots

I’m from Saskatchewan and those boots are huge with my guy friends here! They look amazing and sometimes I wish I was a guy so I could wear them haha but yeah, a pair of raw denim jeans, cuffed at the bottom like how you did it, is key! Great post!
Thank you for your feedback , very glad you liked the post! I know they have Red Wings for females maybe you should check them out…

Great post, got my pair of Red Wings two years ago and it can be worn as versatile as you mentioned. I can pair them with a pair of wool trousers and go to work no problem with them.
For the same effect and those that are looking at other options, there are two other brands that I had considered and thought I would share:
Eastland Lumber Up (lower price point, same effect, would go with Dark Tan for this pair)

Yuketen Maine Guide DB (on the other end of the price spectrum, but the silhouettes are amazing. brown with grey wool paneling was my top choice)
