Like all seasons, winter has its up’s and down’s. There are some days when you need a winter jacket, and there are some days when the temperature is mild enough to leave the down jacket at home. For those warm and mild winter days, there is nothing better than a down vest.
The down vest is a very simple and versatile winter piece that can add a very fashionable layer to your winter wardrobe. You can layer the vest with literally anything in your closet , oxford dress shirts , long sleeve t- shirts, dress shirts , henley’s , and cardigans will all work.
When it comes to dressing for winter, it’s all about layering. Since the vest won’t give you the warmth of a winter jacket, I would recommend to experiment and be creative with your layering options. You will be surprised how some pieces of your wardrobe actually go together.
Almost all designers from high to low end brands have brought out down vests this winter season. Designers have created Down Vests in a wide variety of different colors and fabrics. If you’re going for more of a flashy look I would recommend a solid red or blue vest. Personally I like to keep it simple with a dark grey or charcoal vest. No matter what color you choose you want to choose a proper fitting vest , I would recommend a vest that is trim and snug.
